Is it alright if my guitar is one octave lower then standard tuning?
I just recently got my guitar and found it was badly out of tune. The sixth string is an octave lower then the standard tuning, and I cannot tune it any higher. Does anyone know if its alright to tune it like this?
You should re-string it with slinky (light guage .008 for the small e) strings. It sounds like it might have a B string instead of a an E.
