What has been the impact of the ongoing recession on small/Medium Scale IT firms in India?
Ours is a Bangalore based small/medium scale IT firm (total strehgth 20 approx.), working mainly in the web development sector. Our clients are mainly non US based - mainly from UK, Australia etc. What has been the impact of the ongoing global recession on such companies (salaries of employees). I just want to know the statistics because today is my annual performance appraisal meeting.

in australia small and medium businesses are going down. local and federal governments are giving helping hands to the SMB but i personally believe thats not enough. I think for your personal appraisal if you can get any increase that will be rewarding but i would guess you dont want to push your employees. in australia the economy is not that bad at the moment by it will become worse in about 6 months time as black clouds of recession are hovering australian economy
